Acupuncture near Georgetown, Guelph, Milton and Brampton
DaBōK is a small acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic at 9015 Wellington Rd. 50 in Acton. I'm Ariel Kim, R.Ac, R.TCMP, PhD, a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. I see every patient myself.
Getting here
Patients come to the clinic from Acton, Georgetown, Erin, Rockwood, Guelph, Milton and Brampton. Parking is free and right at the door, so there's no downtown traffic or paid parking to deal with before your treatment.
A gentle first experience
Many people put off acupuncture for years because of needles. My main technique, the Heishui Method, uses ultra-fine, single-use needles placed with comfort first, and most people describe the feeling as a light tap. Depending on what you need, I may also use cupping, moxibustion or gua sha in the same session at no additional charge.
What people come in for
The most common reasons are muscle and joint pain (back, neck, shoulder, sciatica), digestive problems, stress and poor sleep, and women's health concerns such as period pain and perimenopause. Many people arrive with several symptoms at once. Traditional Chinese Medicine looks for the pattern underneath, so I start by listening to all of it.
