Book an Appointment
I offer two kinds of visits. Have a quick look below to find the right one, then choose your time in the calendar.
New here? Choose the Initial Consultation & Treatment below. It's required for all first visits.
Please note: the cost of herbal medicine (patent pills, granules, or raw herbs) is not included in your consultation fee. Formulas are billed separately when prescribed.
Before Your Visit
-
Loose, comfortable clothing is best. You won't need to fully undress, but treatment areas like the back, arms, or legs may need to be accessible.
-
A light meal 1 to 2 hours before your appointment is ideal. Avoid alcohol on the day of your visit and limit caffeine.
-
A list of any medications, supplements, or recent diagnoses. If you have specific imaging or test results related to your concern, feel free to bring those as well.
-
We provide detailed receipts after each visit that you can submit to your extended health benefits provider for reimbursement. Most major Canadian insurers cover acupuncture and TCM performed by an R.Ac. and TCMP. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend confirming with your provider in advance.
-
Many of our patients tell us they were nervous before their first visit. Our acupuncture follows the Heishui Method, a precise and nearly painless needling technique. For patients who prefer no needle insertion at all, we offer non-insertive Daishin, a traditional Japanese mallet technique that does not pierce the skin. Please mention if you'd prefer a needle-free treatment when you book.
-
Herbal formulas are part of our regular consultation process. After your initial intake and diagnosis, we may recommend a patent formula in pill form to support your treatment plan. Granule and raw herb options are coming soon.
